This company specialises in machining, welding, and precision cutting. A successful candidate will interpret client specifications and ensure the excellence of the products by following inspection protocols and detecting errors before products are released.
Job Duties:
- Operate machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments
- Review samples, drawings, or instructions to understand specifications of output
- Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
- Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
- Determine and program size of batches, speed of machine etc.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments
- Lathe and Mill operation experience
- Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers and micrometers) to take accurate measurements
- Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals, and set-up repeat jobs
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- $20 - $35 per hour base rate, more depending on skill and experience
- 6 am-4:30 pm
- Profit-Sharing Program
